Rachael L. Jencks

Rachael Lenzmeier Jencks, a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is an attorney practicing primarily in the areas of taxation and domestic relations. Rachael is also a certified public accountant and holds an MBA degree.

Rachael became a shareholder in the law firm of Jencks & Jencks, P.C. in July of 2002 after working in another law firm in Flandreau, South Dakota, and prior to that, serving as law clerk to the Honorable Timothy Connell, district court judge in the 5^th judicial district of Minnesota. She is licensed to practice in the states of South Dakota and Minnesota. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Hamline University in May, 1999, her MBA degree from the University of St. Thomas in December 2001, and became a certified public accountant in April of 2004. Rachael has been an adjunct professor of accountancy and law at Dakota State University since 2002 teaching courses in accounting, business law, and organizational theory. Rachael’s law and accountancy practice focuses on tax planning for individuals and small business, business governance with respect to monthly, quarterly and yearly tax reporting, taxation election issues with LLC’s, and assisting individuals and businesses in the preparation of financial statements, monthly financial records and all types of tax returns. Rachael’s accountancy skills are also used in assisting with field examinations for their transportation factoring clients.

Rachael also represents individuals in divorce, custody, visitation, child support, parental rights terminations, abuse and neglect proceedings, adoption and surrogacy proceedings. Rachael is also a court approved mediator with a mediation practice focusing primarily on domestic relations disputes such as custody and visitation.

Rachael is the mother of two beautiful girls, Marissa, age 3 and Whitney, age 1. She is married to her law partner, David. She spends her free time with her daughters and family.
